Description:

The Great horned owl(Bubo virginianus), also known as the Tiger owl (originally derived from early naturalists' description as the "winged tiger" or "tiger of the air") or the Hoot owl, is a large owl native to the Americas. It is an extremely adaptable bird with a vast range and is the most widely distributed true owl in the Americas. Its primary diet appears to be rabbits and hares, rats and mice and voles, although it freely hunts any animal it can overtake, primarily other rodents and small mammals, but also larger mid-sized mammals, various birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. In ornithological study, the great horned owl is often compared to the Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo), a closely related species which, despite the latter's notably larger size, occupies the same ecological niche in Eurasia, and the Red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis), with which it often shares similar habitat, prey and nesting habits by day and is thus something of a diurnal ecological equivalent. The Great horned owl is one of the earliest nesting birds in North America, often laying eggs weeks or even months before other raptorial birds.

Description:

The Buff-fronted owl (Aegolius harrisii) is a small Owl. It is a rare and local resident in the highlands of South America from Venezuela south and east to Peru, northern Argentinaand northwest Paraguay. The range is effectively separated into two parts by the unsuitable habitat of the Amazon basin.

This nocturnal bird breeds in open mountain forests, laying its eggs in a tree hole. It takes rodents and other small mammals as its main prey, but will also feed on birds and insects.

The Buff-fronted owlis a small, compact, short-tailed and broad-winged owl, 23 cm long and weighing 130 g. It is black above with white flecking on the wings. The underparts are unstreaked buff and the tail is brown with two spotted white bars. The head is large, with yellow eyes and a black-edged buff facial disc. The flight is strong and direct. The voice is a quavering trill sometimes varying in pitch.

The binomial commemorates the American ornithologist Edward Harris.

The Salesians of Don Bosco (or the Salesian Society, officially named the Society of St. Francis de Sales) is a Roman Catholicreligious institute founded in the late nineteenth century by Saint John Bosco to help poor children during the Industrial Revolution. The Salesians' charter describes the society's mission as "the Christian perfection of its associates obtained by the exercise of spiritual and corporal works of charity towards the young, especially the poor, and the education of boys to the priesthood".The institute is named after Francis de Sales, an early-modern bishop from Geneva.

St. John Bosco, in Italian: Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco, born on August 16th of 1815and passed away on January 31st of 1888, popularly known as Don Bosco, was an Italian Roman Catholic priestof the Latin Church, educator and writer of the 19th century. While working in Turin, where the population suffered many of the effects of industrializationand urbanization, he dedicated his life to the betterment and education of street children, juvenile delinquents, and other disadvantaged youth. He developed teaching methods based on love rather than punishment, a method that became known as the Salesian Preventive System. A follower of the spirituality and philosophy of Saint Francis de Sales, Bosco dedicated his works to him when he founded the Salesians of Don Bosco, based in Turin. Together with Maria Domenica Mazzarello, he founded the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, a religious congregation of nuns dedicated to the care and education of poor girls.

In 1876 Bosco founded a movement of laity, the Association of Salesian Cooperators, with the same educational mission to the poor. In 1875 he began to publish the Salesian Bulletin. The Bulletinhas remained in continuous publication, and is currently published in 50 different editionsand 30 languages.

Boscoestablished a network of organizations and centres to carry on his work. Following his beatification in 1929, he was canonized as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church by Pope Pius XI in 1934.

Finally, surrounding the Personalityof  José Artigassome Topics arises. The first that cames to our mind is History, in particular the History of Southamerica, focus on the Emancipation of Southamerica, or the Liberty of Southamerica, or the Spanish American wars of independence, as José Gervasio Artigas was one of the most notorious figures of that Emancipation.
