Issue:
As Main Topic: I think that Paintings will be the one, and inside it, one could identify: Uruguayan Paintings or Uruguayan Painters, and of course in particular the two painters selected by this release that are: Ernesto Laroche andPedro Blanes Viale, and it respective Paintings: "El Pozo", in english "Well Fountain"and "Retrato de María de Castro de Figari", in english "Portrait of María de Castro de Figari".
Then, also a wider Topic as Art, or two more precise as Oil Painting orUruguayan Painters of Beginnings of XX Century, could be selected as Main Topics too.
Then, surrounding the main topic, could be found the followings:I think Personalitiesas one topic itself, and the Personality of each of the Painters Ernesto Laroche and Pedro Blanes Viale could be others included in the release. Then also Genre Art and Landscape Paintingcould be also identified, as there were the main topics of both Artist selected in this release.
Now, regarding the desing of the stamps:As the stamps only have in common the way that they are diagrammed, the design will be described in section that talk of each stamp, however, one topic could be added to the whole serie that is the Museums and also Pictures, as both stamps were designed using Picturescourtesy of the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales (MNAV), that in english means Visual Arts National Museum.
Finally, in a more symbolic way: First, taking a wide view, this Annual series of Painters, that the post office is releasing since 2010 has the intention to put Paintings and Art as relevant part of our Culture and our Nationality. Then, the selection of this particular two Painters that have many things in common, shows also an intention to give more visibility this year to the Uruguayan Oil Painters orUruguayan Painters of Beginnings of XX Century.
Stamp 1:
The Stamp 1: Through the beautiful Painting of Ernesto Laroche, add mainly the connection with Floraor Vegetables, and more precise ones Treesand GrassTopics, as they are the most visible elements in the Painting Scene, however, although not seen easily, the Well Fountain of Concrete that gives the title to this Artwork, also mades this particular Stamp, and by extenstion the release, useful for rather popular collection about Water, or more precise ones as Spring Waters, Well Fountains itself, and perhaps also Technology or Primitive Technologyor Architecture.
In a more deep perspective, from the Painting Scene, feelings like Peace, Tranquility, Bliss, and perhaps a bit of Solitude, could appear, making the stamp useful in a rather unlikely Emotions Collection.
Stamp 2:
The Stamp 2: Shows a completely different Scene, through the Painting "Retrato de María de Castro de Figari" from Pedro Blanes Viale. In this case we change from an Outdoor Scene to an Indoor Scene, and from a Landscape Painting to a Genre Art, more in particular a Portrait.
In the scene, as it is a Portrait, the main purpose is to show the person that is being portrayed, in this case, María de Castro de Figari, that was the spouse of the famous Uruguayan Painter Pedro Figari, and mother of another Uruguayan Painter Juan Carlos Figari.
This woman, María de Castro de Figari, was portrayed wearing a splendid Dress in light blue Silk, with a yellow Flower attached to it, and having a Fanin her right Handand over her Lap.
She is sitting over a sophisticated Sofamade in Carved Woodwith a nice designed Upholstery. Over the Sofathere is also a Pair of Gloves, probably part of María Dress, and a Cushion.
The scene is completed by a fine Flower Pot, with a plenty of Blue Flowers.
Block:
The block: Clearly reinforce the Painting and Arts Topic, and also add the objects Paintbrushand Painter Paletteas these two ones are included in icon used to show the ink colours used in the printing of the stamps.
FDC:
The desing of the First Day Cancelation: Also Reinforces the Paintingand ArtsTopic, and in particular the Paintbrushelement, as two of these items took almost all of the cancelation design.
If you consider that there are another topics in this stamp, that were not spot in this review, you are encouraged to telling me about them, so please do not hesitate to post a comment. I would appreciate your help very much.
