The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 100 years of the Uruguayan Basque institution "Confraternidad Vasca Euskal Erria" that was founded on March 30th, 1912.

In the design of the stamps it appears the traditional Basque Sport ( Previous ) called "Basque Pelota".

It also shows the "Gernikako Arbola", that is an oak tree that symbolizes traditional freedoms for the Basque people.

Another item that is presented in the stamp is a building of the "Casa de Juntas de Guernica" headquarters the highest governance body of Biscay.

There other topics in the design of this stamp. One is the Flags ( Previous ) topic, as it appears the Flag of the Basque country that is shown in the top right of the stamp, and also the particular hat of the Basque Pelota Player.

In the Block it also appears the Flag of Uruguay ( Previous ) accompanying the one of the Basque Country, that is also in the stamp as said before.

And in the Uruguayan flag, the Sun ( Previous ) the main astronomical object of our Solar System, it is presented, so Astronomy ( Previous ) topic is in the stamp too.

It is also the Map ( Previous ) topic in the block as it is shown the Map of the Basque Country, as the sample of inks used for printing the issue.
